Sometimes we get so fixed on the things that happen around us that we do not see how many good things we have right in front of us!! People worry about the future and look over their shoulder at the past….not even aware that the sun has set in front of them or that a new day is a gift that they are granted….that some people may never get to see again. Each moment almost seems as if borrowed and when we are not able to see the good things we cease to be thankful…it’s like we are not aware how fortunate we are in light of the man who has no more tomorrows on this earth. Find reasons in your life to truly embrace being thankful this holiday season…and spread your gratitude to others!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

When the heat is turned up on our circumstances, that is when the true colors come out of people. People are just human, very imperfect. When squeezed a lot the worst that is inside of them will come pouring out. We need to keep a learning attitude. When those days come along we need to clean ourselves up of all the impurities, grieve the pain and loss, let go of those things that are trying to rob us, and move forward. Sometimes the pain seems too hard to bear.We need to spot those things that are hidden inside of us and allow that stuff to be purged from us. We choose to forgive and it will bring us farther ahead in our walk than we ever were. No turning back.

Throughout history a very important avenue that has demonstrated and depicted culture across all times, has been the written word. I am a firm believer in writing down facts , lifelines, heart attitudes and everything-this is the key to securing that life existed. Cultures existed…. as well as when and where these people groups existed. I pray that man never relies solely on computers to preserve historical facts-we may be left in the dark ages again.

Have you ever started a project, like sitting down to write… and then you start feverishly looking for your glasses? You look on the desk, on the table… in your purse…and there they are right on your head. I guess that is understandable-who has eyes in the top of their head? Well the other day I went to put my glasses on my face and oops, I already had a pair on my little ole eyes. That is much harder to explain away…now isn’t it? Today…I think I topped that one…I went to put my glasses on top of my head..you know-so I wouldn’t lose them and oops…there were two pair already on my head! I had finally run out of places on top of my noggin….not sure if I should be laughing or concerned!!!

Even if we were raised to never know the bond of love of a father or a mother or any significant other, thank God all of us can know the love of our Father who created us. One day, on earth… someone will come our way who will love us as we should be loved. If only we could capture those glorious sensations and make a conscious choice never to allow anything to take away our gift of love from us ….the world would be such a better place. Love is one of God’s most beautiful ideas, we need to not forget that God is Love, He wants us all to walk in love.
