I sometimes wish that I could capture my youth in a vessel, it doesn’t matter what kind of vessel. But most importantly, this vessel would have a secure stopper, of course- so that youth may not escape. How woeful that would be, maybe I would have captured my youth, but there would never be laughter, there would never be joy, there would never be love, or pain, or regret, or growth, or memories, or life.
Life is a gift, there are those who are not fortunate enough to grow old, as they pass away too soon.
However beautiful the vessel may be, my youth would cry out to be free, to grow, to live, to love, to create memories, to know pain, to experience life. The growing has to happen to know life, through the growth there is pain and regret. We make the choices along the way that will allow us to cope, forget, and grieve the pain. Hopefully our choices are good choices, will I say “no” to the things that could hurt me? Will I say “yes” those good things that may help me? Clearly, there are some decisions that we must make that, though we make the right choices, we may still experience pain, such is life.
At first light of day, we never know what the rest of the day may bring to us. Will it be a joyful day, a tragic day, a day of great happiness and success, filled with sunshine or storms? No matter what the day brings to you always appreciate that you are alive, each day is a chance to grow, to live, to learn, if pain comes your way, always know that each day is a chance to start again. Choose to hope for the best at first light.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life! John 14:6 ” I am the way, the truth, and the life,” Jesus answered. “Without me, no one can go to the Father.” Ask Him to settle all that has kept you away from Him, to forgive you, and come into your life, fill you with the Holy Spirit, so that you may be comforted, guided, loved, and shown the way. Believe that He died for you and is alive and risen again, so that you have a chance to start all over again!
